AFTR PawTag ("AFTR PawTag", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use the AFTR PawTag platform, including our NFC-enabled dog tags, digital pet profiles, and mobile application.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register, we collect your email address, full name, and password (hashed). If you register via Google OAuth, we receive your Google profile information.

Dog Profile Information

Information you voluntarily add to your dog's profile including: your dog's name, photo, breed, age, about section, medical conditions, medications, allergies, vaccination records, and veterinarian information.

Owner Contact Information

Contact details you choose to share publicly, including your name, phone number, email address, and address. You control which of these are visible on your public profile.

AFTR PawTag Data

When you activate an AFTR PawTag, we associate the tag's unique identifier with your account.

Connection Data

When someone saves your profile as a connection, we store basic profile snapshots to display in their connections list.

Cookies & Analytics

We use essential cookies for session management and authentication. We may use analytics tools to understand how the platform is used.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to: provide and operate the AFTR PawTag platform; display your dog's public profile when the PawTag is scanned; assist with lost pet identification and recovery; manage your connections; send account-related notifications; improve our services; and comply with legal obligations.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your dog's public profile is visible to anyone who scans your AFTR PawTag or visits your profile URL. You control what information appears on your public profile — including which owner contact details are shown.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your profile and connections data are removed. Your AFTR PawTag is reset to an unclaimed state and can be activated by a new user.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may also request a copy of your data or withdraw consent where applicable. To exercise these rights, contact us through the Contact page.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is completely secure; we encourage you to use a strong password.

8. Children's Privacy

AFTR PawTag is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
